Student Exhibits

Each year, tens of thousands of students across Miami-Dade County submit projects to our Student Exhibits program. b. Fair guests are treated to a lard student showcase where more than 36,000 projects are displayed. The Youth Fair’s competitive divisions include culinary, fine arts, performing arts, technology education, fishing gear, fashion design, creative writing, and more.

scholarship program

A college education is the ticket to success for most people. Our Scholarship Program awards generous cash prizes to students enrolling in a college, university or trade school. Multiple $1,000 scholarships are awarded each year to graduating high school seniors.

Athletics & Parks

Miami-Dade County Fair & Exposition works closely with the Miami-Dade County Parks Recreation and Open Spaces Department to ensure students are given the opportunity to compete year-round in sports that often aren't a part of their school's athletic program.

Student Agriculture Ambassadors

The Youth Fair recruits high school students to be Ag Ambassadors, a year-round volunteer position. Students are given the opportunity for an inside look at what it could mean for them to have a career in an agriculture related field.

Elie Wiesel Prize in Ethics

Miami-Dade County Youth Fair & Exposition supports Miami-Dade County Public Schools (MDCPS) as the primary sponsor of the Elie Wiesel Prize in Ethics essay contest. The essay contest is based on a national contest that encourages college students to apply Wiesel’s call to action to “think higher and feel deeper” about ethical issues facing our society. MDCPS is distinguished as the only school district in the nation participating at the high school level.
